How do I refer a friend or fellow parent?
Share the app download link from the form with them via SMS, WhatsApp, or any other messaging channels. Ensure your referral uses that link to access the app and sign up for the loan.
How long is this offer running for?
The offer is available from 19 May 2025 to 20 July 2025 (inclusive). The friends and family that you refer to who take the school fees loan must do so during this period for you to get the offer.
What constitutes a “Successful Referral”?
A referral is successful when all of the following occur during the Campaign Period:
- They register as a new user.
- They complete KYC and credit assessment.
- They take their first Opportunity Bank school fees loan.
What do I receive for successfully referring someone, i.e., they take out a school fees loan?
When the person you have referred signs up using the Furaha app and successfully takes a school fees loan, you will receive a UGX 50,000 shopping voucher for each Successful Referral.
How will I receive my voucher?
Vouchers are sent via SMS (Furaha) and WhatsApp +256772 424426.
The voucher will be sent to you within 7 business days after your referral’s first loan disbursement.
Where can I redeem my voucher when I receive it?
You can redeem the voucher for your shopping at https://market.momo.africa/Portal/
Enter the voucher code at checkout in the box marked “Add Promo Code”.
Once you enter your voucher code, the total cost of the items you are buying will be reduced by UGX 50,000.
How many people can I refer to get a school fees loan and get a voucher?
You can refer as many people as you desire. The more referrals you make, the greater the opportunities to receive multiple vouchers for each successful referral who takes out the school fees loan.
However, you will earn a maximum of 4 vouchers from your successful referrals during the Campaign Period.
Once you receive your 4th voucher, there will no further vouchers will be issued, but you can continue to refer others.
What happens if multiple people refer the same person?
Only the first Referrer (based on the time the referral was made) who made the referral to the new customer will be awarded the voucher (first-come, first-served).
Can I transfer, exchange, or reuse my voucher for cash?
No. Vouchers are non-transferable, non-exchangeable for cash, and valid only for the designated recipient.
The voucher is single-use, i.e. you can only redeem it once.
There is no carry-over of the unused balance on your voucher once it has been redeemed.

What if I suspect fraud or see abuses of the referral process?
Any attempt to manipulate or game the Campaign (e.g., fake accounts, collusion, misrepresentation, etc) may result in the disqualification of both the Referrer and the Referral.
Furaha reserves the right to audit all referrals; its decisions are final.
Can the Campaign end early or be modified?
Yes. Management reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Campaign or these FAQs without prior notice.
Earned but undisbursed vouchers will still be processed (subject to eligibility verification).
