Campaign Name: Invite and Win

Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
  • Campaign: This is a referral campaign that is offering shopping vouchers to eligible customers who successfully refer another customer to take an Opportunity Bank School Fees loan.
  • Furaha: Furaha Finserve Uganda Limited.
  • Referrer/Inviter: An eligible parent who has previously taken and fully repaid a loan from Opportunity Bank and submits a referral through the campaign form.
  • Referral/Invitee/Invited: A new parent customer who has never registered or applied for a school fees loan with Opportunity Bank before being referred.
  • Successful Referral: A referral that completes registration and takes their first Opportunity Bank school fees loan during the Campaign period.
  • Reward: A Referrer will be awarded a UGX 50,000 shopping voucher for each successful referral.
  • Redeeming: The voucher can be redeemed on https://market.momo.africa/Portal/ at checkout. Enter the voucher code into the Promo Code section on the checkout page to redeem your voucher.
Campaign Period

Referrers must be existing Opportunity Bank School Fees loan customers who have repaid their loan(s) in full before the Campaign start date.

Referrals must be individuals who have never registered or applied for a school fees loan with Opportunity Bank.

Both the Referrer and the Referral must be residents of Uganda and of legal age (18 years or older).

Employees of Opportunity Bank and Furaha Finserve Uganda, as well as their immediate family members, are excluded from participating in this campaign.

Referral Process
  1. Referrers shall use the submission form at <insert URL here> to submit both their number and that of the person they are referring to sign up and take a school fees loan.
  2. Both numbers will be linked together to reward the referring customer once a school fees loan has been taken out by the person who was referred. 
  3. Referrers shall also share the app download link with prospective Referrals via SMS, WhatsApp, or other channels of their choosing.
  4. Referrals will receive an SMS/WhatsApp with the app download link and instructions on taking a school fees loan.
  5. Only the first successful Referrer to refer a given Referral is eligible for the Reward (first-come, first-served).
Qualification for Reward

A Reward is earned when a Referral:

  • Registers as a new user,
  • Completes KYC and credit assessment,
  • Takes their first loan during the Campaign Period.
Reward Disbursement

Rewards are disbursed as a UGX 50,000 shopping voucher for every successful referral, but up to a maximum of 4 (four) vouchers per Referrer.

Vouchers are sent via SMS and WhatsApp within 7 (seven) business days of the Successful Referral’s loan disbursement.

Vouchers are non-transferable, non-exchangeable for cash, and valid only for the intended recipient.

All vouchers must be redeemed within 21 (twenty-one) days.

Maximum Reward Cap

Each Referrer may earn a maximum of 4 (four) vouchers during the Campaign Period.
No further vouchers will be issued beyond this limit. However, the customer can continue to refer others to sign up

Fraud, Abuse & Disqualification
  1. Any attempt to manipulate the referral process (e.g., fake registrations, multiple accounts, collusion, misrepresentation) will result in the disqualification of both the Referrer and the Referral.
  2. Management reserves the right to audit and verify all referrals.
  3. Decisions on disqualification are final and binding. 
  4. The disqualified party will also be prohibited from future campaigns of a similar nature.
Modification and Termination

Management reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Campaign or these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

In the event of termination, all earned but undisbursed Rewards will be processed within 30 days, subject to eligibility verification.

Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data collected will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act Cap 97.

By  accepting the terms and conditions and participating in this Campaign, you consent to:

  1.  the collection, processing, and use of your personal data by Furaha and its third-party agents for purposes of the Campaign; and
  2. The use or display of your name, images, or videos on any online, social media or print publications by Furaha or its third-party agents in relation to the Campaign.

Referrers agree that the contact details of Referrals will be used solely for Campaign verification and communication.

Tax & Liability

Any tax liability arising from the receipt of Rewards is the sole responsibility of the Referrer.

Furaha accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from participation, except for death or personal injury caused by proven negligence.

Force Majeure

Furaha is not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond its reasonable control (e.g., network outages, natural disasters).

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda.

Any disputes shall first be handled through negotiations, failing which, the disputes shall be referred to the courts of Uganda.
